Suspect Nahom T. Getaneh allegedly threatened student: ‘Do you want to die?’
Details of the alleged rape of an MIT student in the laundry room of her sorority house revealed, leading to the arrest of a 33-year-old sex offender with prior convictions.
Nahom T. Getaneh, 33, reportedly attacked the unidentified female student on Saturday, April 22 at 11:45 p.m. in a public lane outside the back entrance of her Delta Phi Epsilon sorority residence on Beacon Street near Massachusetts Avenue in Boston’s rear Bay, as reported by MIT police. The location of the alleged assault was in Boston’s rear Bay.
The officials claim that Getaneh approached the student while riding a bicycle and requested that they give him something to eat. Getaneh followed the female student into her dorm room and then groped her on the back from behind as she succumbed to his advances.
