7 People Killed During Togo Protests, Civil Society group says

Last week seven people were killed during anti-government protests in Togo, said human rights activists, who accused security forces of using "shocking violence" against protesters. Last Thursday, protests demanding the resignation of long-time leader Faure Gnassingbe began in response to what government critics call a cost-of-living crisis.
