Police in Ohio are looking into a woman’s property after she posted videos on her TikTok account raising concerns that a body could be buried in her yard.
In the beginning of the week, Katie Santry posted a video to her YouTube account showing her and her family in their Columbus home excavating a rug that had been buried in the yard. She then updated her followers on the status of the problem in other videos, saying that she had summoned the police to her residence.
Millions of people watched the videos, and many asked why a rug would be buried in her yard in the comments section.

In a TikTok video, Santry called the events “the most absurd, insane experience of my life.”
Following the conclusion of the inquiry, which included K-9 units and an excavation, police gathered fragments of the rug that had been buried in the yard on Friday afternoon.
“The pieces all tested negative for human or animal remains and, at this time, there are no plans for further testing,” police stated.
According to one officer, it’s typical for individuals to bury belongings rather than move them to save time and effort when homes are constructed. According to the officer, police must investigate a location after receiving a tip from a K-9 unit to make sure nothing is there.
As one officer put it, it’s also possible that someone had a little injury like a nosebleed years prior, which the dogs detected.
Santry described her first phone call to the police in a number of recordings. When the officers arrived at her house, they stated they had no intention of looking into the matter further.
“The entire world was telling me to have the police come,” Santry stated. I asked the cops, ‘Hey, do you want to come to my house to look at a rug?’ when I contacted them. I thought I was crazy.”
Santry said in a video released on Thursday that she received a call from homicide detectives informing her that cadaver dogs will be used to guide the investigators. Later that day, she claimed in a video that two distinct cadaver dogs had attempted to sit at the hole twice.
