Last week, a mother was suspected of purposely driving her car into a lake in Lakeland, Florida, with her two children, resulting in the deaths of all three people in the vehicle.
When officers from the Lakeland Police Department and the Lakeland Fire Department arrived on the scene, the vehicle was already 15 feet from the coast and submerged in the water.
The fire department and the diving team began the process of retrieving the car from the water, and once they did so, they discovered the body of Ortilla Zamora, who was 35 years old, inside the vehicle. After the vehicle had been completely extracted from the water, authorities discovered the bodies of Zamora’s two boys, ages 4 and 9, also inside the vehicle.
