According to the Chesapeake Police Department, a shooting at a Walmart in Chesapeake, Virginia on Tuesday night resulted in multiple fatalities and numerous injuries.
At 10:12 p.m., according to a police spokesperson, Chesapeake police responded to a report of an “active shooter” at the business on Battlefield Blvd. According to Chesapeake police spokesman MPO Leo Kosinski, when officers arrived, they worked with a tactical squad to enter the store, where they discovered numerous bodies.
He said that over 35 to 40 minutes later, police discovered more bodies and extricated other victims from the business.
The incident took place inside the store, but police have not yet disclosed information about how many people were injured. He claimed there had been “fewer than 10 fatalities, right now.”
