Napoli has placed a 100 million Euros price tag on Arsenal target Victor Oshimhen. Napoli paid 70 million Euros for the service of the Nigerian forward from Lile.
Osimhen has been impressed since joining Napoli in 2020. Osimhen had scored 28 goals in 62 appearances for Napoli. Victor Osimhen took his game to a different level for Napoli scoring 18 goals and providing 6 assists in 32 appearances for Napoli last season.
There are reports that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it known to clubs who are willing to sign Victor Osimhen to prepare to pay 100 million Euros or 86 Million pounds.
Arsenal is the frontrunner to sign Osimhen this summer after their only striker Alexandre Lacazette confirmed that he is leaving the club this summer after running down his contract at Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Arsenal Icon Kelvin Campbell has claimed that Arsenal must pay £80million if they want to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.
Kelvin Campbell believes that the Gunner must be prepared to pay £80million for the service of the Napoli striker.
Victor Osimhen has three years left on his contract at Napoli.
Campbell said via Football insider 247: “He [Osimhen] will cost Arsenal at least £80million.
“Let us be honest, he has not done himself any harm scoring the goals he did last season. He has played brilliantly.
“Osimhen is lightning quick, can hold the ball up but can head it as well. He attacks the ball pretty well.”
He added: “A striker like that, an all-rounder, is going to be expensive. Tammy Abraham and Osimhen have similar qualities.
“You can see the kind of player Arsenal is going for. You’re going to get no change out of £80million if you go for Osimhen.”
Arsenal is not the only club that wants to sign the 23 years old Napoli Striker. Bayern Munich, Manchester United, and Liverpool are also reported to be interested in Osimhen.
With the likely departure of Robert Lewandoski at Bayern Munich this summer, Victor Osimhen can be a good replacement for the Polish Captain. the only thing that could prevent Bayern Munich from signing him(Victor Osimhen) is the 100 million price tag placed on him.
Manchester United under new coach Erik Ten Hag is also reported to be interested in Victor Osimhen. Manchester United lacks a proper number nine in the current squad. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only number nine on the the team after the departure of Edinson Cavani this summer.
