According to the CBP, illegal immigration across the Texas-Mexico border took place from Monday morning until Tuesday afternoon.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers who were working along the Texas-Mexico border over the course of Monday and Tuesday were able to thwart five separate attempts to illegally bring individuals into the country by smuggling them into the country. As a result, 20 individuals were taken into custody.

The first incident took place on Monday morning in the border town of Mission, Texas, in the state of Texas. At the McAllen Border Patrol Station, police detained four people who claimed to be in the country illegally. These individuals’ claims led to their arrest. It was subsequently discovered that one of the subjects, a woman, was a citizen of the United States who had lied about her identity and had been convicted of migrant smuggling in the past. She had been one of the people involved in the investigation.
An agent from the Falfurrias Border Patrol Station saw a group of people loading into a Jeep at a rest spot later that morning. A brief pursuit ensued when the driver refused to stop when law enforcement officers approached them.
