The first lady of the United States, Jill Biden, received a positive test result for COVID-19 on Monday, despite the fact that her spokesperson said that her symptoms had been very mild.
President Joe Biden submitted himself to testing after learning that his wife had tested positive for the virus; however, his results came back negative. The press secretary at the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, has said that the president will undergo standard testing and would be carefully watched for any symptoms.
Jill Biden will reportedly continue to spend her time at the couple’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, according to Elizabeth Alexander, who is in charge of communications for the Biden campaign. Tuesday was supposed to be the day that the First Lady started her new job as an instructor at Northern Virginia Community College, where she would be teaching English and writing.
Alexander went on to say that because of her sickness, she was in the process of arranging with the school to find alternative professors.
