An enormous fire broke out early Monday morning at a Sherwin-Williams paint factory in a Dallas suburb.
According to the Garland Police Department, city firefighters are battling a fire near 701 South Shiloh Road.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency reports that Valspar Coatings, which Sherwin-Williams owns, operates the building at that address.
“My coworker and I were processing orders in our office when all of a sudden the entire building shook,” Dave Casper, an employee of Aston Global, a bathroom supply company in the same area, told Fox29.
“Some particulates from the ceiling began to descend upon us. “When we walked behind our building, we saw this enormous explosion at the Sherwin-Williams plant,” he explained.
No fatalities were immediately reported.
As a consequence, multiple roadways in and around the area are CLOSED, according to the police. Please locate alternate routes and anticipate significant delays.
Multiple explosions could be heard in a social media video purportedly of the fire.
