A law enforcement officer in Mississippi was shot and killed early Friday morning, and the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation has stated that a manhunt is presently underway in the state as a result of the incident.
On Thursday afternoon in Meridian, Mississippi, 51st Avenue was the location where an unidentified police officer from the city of Meridian was found. This spot is not too far from the border that divides Mississippi and Alabama into their respective states. It was verified that he had passed away at a local hospital, where he was being treated for his injury.
The unidentified body of a female was also found inside a nearby residence, according to the Meridian, Mississippi, police department.
The suspect, who has been identified as Dante Marquez Bender, is thought to be armed and dangerous. He is 31 years old. He is in a black Nissan Armada from 2004 bearing the name “IMANI” on the license plate.
