In the early hours of Thanksgiving weekend, police say a man attacked a San Francisco Muni bus driver and gained possession of the moving target before going for a joyride.

At Mission and Cortland streets, according to the police, the bus was abducted against its will. The driver was able to evacuate the vehicle because there were no passengers inside at the time.

Approximately ten vehicles were struck by the bus as the suspect traveled to the vicinity of Guerrero and 19th streets, where the bus came to a stop and police arrested him.

A non-life-threatening injury was sustained by the driver of one of the cars.
