Who is Lumion?
Lumion is architectural rendering software that makes it easy to convey how your projects will translate into real-life experiences and emotions. This visualization software is one of a kind and as of the 1st March 2022, version 12.3 is now available in the United Arab Emirates.

What to expect from Version 12.3
- For enhancing the mood or simply portraying it, capturing the atmosphere and the ambiance, this version provides an improved and easier way to affect all the above in your designs. It is able to illuminate spaces, swimming pools, and interiors, adding depth and realism to them.
- Version 12.3 includes a plethora of lighting options, ranging from Omni lights to area and line lights, all of which can be customized based on color, brightness, and shadows.
- The new volumetric spotlights effect, when combined with Real Skies, the fog effect, and atmospheric rain and snow, allows you to showcase your design in an immersive context.
Light Color Temperature (Kelvin)
- With the new ambient light color tool, you can set the mood. Using the Kelvin scale, which measures colors from warm (3000K) to cool (7000K), you’ll create interior lighting that feels comfortable and inviting, as well as exterior lighting that feels crisp and vibrant.
Surface decals
- With 142 new surface decals, you can add character, style, and personality to your visualizations. Surfaces with flaws, wall art, exposed brick, moss, chalk drawings, paint, road markings, and much more can be transformed with a single click.
- When combined with other features such as weathering, displacement maps, and edges, you have a plethora of tools at your disposal to highlight surface imperfections and highlight textures like never before.
Import custom decals
- With Lumion 12.3, you can now import your own custom stickers to give surfaces a distinctive look and feel and expand your creative possibilities.
- Custom decals are easy to place and modify so that you can intuitively blend them into your project, giving them all the texture and intricate detail of the underlying material.
License Plates
- The state-of-the-art license plates in Lumion 12 help you anchor your design to a specific location with a simple yet immersive detail in Japan, Germany, China, the United States, and ten different countries. A variety of license plate styles are available here.
- Custom license plates can be added as an extra touch of personalization in Lumion 12.3. Upload single or multiple images to make your own license plate. Animated Plants
- Impossible doesn’t exist with Lumion, they’ve added a whopping 110 new plants that are no longer static, yes, they move! Making it more lively and imaginative as well.
Fine Detail Nature
- You can capture the vitality of real-life landscapes with 41 new fine-detail nature items, including a variety of new palms at various stages of growth, exquisitely detailed flowers, grass, weeds, cattails, and many other small plants.
Improved OpenStreetMaps
- You can now render an entire cityscape using OpenStreetMap. The terrain’s elevation, and all the minor details that make up the surrounding landscape. The feature additionally allows you to better control, rotate, and import the surrounding topography for your project.
New Library Additions ( some belong to Pro Only
Lumion has added over 570 new items to their Library and these range from furniture, for interiors and exteriors to garden items including an additional garden category, transportation items, solar panels, televisions, computers, and other devices, Character animations, and more static people.
Material Additions
Materials can bring buildings to life, stimulating your senses and imbuing spaces with character and personality. Lumion 12 includes 65 new materials with a variety of options such as; Acoustic foam, Cardboard, Solar panels, tactile paving, cork, bricks, concrete, tile patterns, stone and wood and multiple other items to capture the story of your designs.
