Liverpool Star players Mohamed Salah and Sadio have dropped huge hints about their future at Anfield ahead of the Champions League finals. Mohamed Salah had confirmed that he would stay at Liverpool next season and Sadio Mane has hinted that he will make his decision after the Champions League finals.
Mohamed Salah has one year left on his Liverpool contract and has been linked with a move to either Real Madrid or Barcelona. Liverpool is believed to have offered a new contract to their talisman.
The Egyptian forward currently earns 200,000 pounds a week and there is a report that Mohamed Salah wants double that amount as his compatriots in Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.
Salah’s contract extension seems to be Liverpool’s topmost priority this summer. The 29-year-old produced another stunning season despite Liverpool missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City with just one point.
The England football writers player of the season shared the Premier League top goalscorer award with Tottenham Hotspurs forward son Heung-min with 23 goals and won the Premier League Playmaker of the season with 13 assists.
Sadio Mane on the other hand has been Liverpool’s best player since he won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal. the 30 years forward has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich this season. Sadio Mane’s contracts with Liverpool expires next year and could leave on a free transfer.
The Senegalese international has been tipped to challenge Karim Benzema for the Ballon d’Or this season after scoring 23 goals and providing 5 assists in 50 appearances including 16 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League.
What did Salah say?
Speaking ahead of the Champions League final with Real Madrid he said: “I am staying next season for sure, that’s clear.
“I don’t focus on the contract at the moment. It’s about the team. It’s a really important week for us. I want to win the Champions League again. I want to see Hendo with that trophy in his hands again.
“In my mind, I don’t focus on contracts at the moment. I don’t want to be selfish.”
Salah will be seeking revenge when Liverpool faces Real Madrid in Paris after the Egyptian suffered a shoulder dislocation after a challenge with Sergio Ramos.
He added: “I’m very motivated after what happened with Madrid last time,’ said Salah at Wednesday’s media briefing.
“And, after what happened on Sunday, everyone is motivated to win the Champions League. Everybody is excited about it.”
Sadio Mane on Bayern Munich future
Speaking on the rumors he said:” I think the question is a very good question, for now, it’ll be difficult for me to answer.
“But for sure, I’m very focused on the champions League.
“Ask me the question after the Champions League, and I will answer you.”
The question remains how far Liverpool are willing to maintain these fantastic duo. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have contributed immensely in the success of Jurgen Klopp as coach of Liverpool.
