Laxman Sivaramakrishnan made his class career debut in 1981 at 16. He played for the Delhi Cricket Team in the 1981/82 Ranji Trophy quarterfinals. His performance was outstanding, and he was selected to play for the Duleep Trophy in the South Zone.
