Sean Michael Maurice Taylor, better known as Sean Taylor, was a well-known American football safety for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League (NFL). He was born on April 1, 1983, in Florida City, Florida, United States of America, under the zodiac sign Aries, with the nationality of an American and of black ethnicity. Sen was born to Pedro Taylor, a policeman, and Donna Junor.
He spent his years in Homestead, Florida, with his grandmother, Aulga Clarke, before he moved to live at his father’s home at the age of 11. He played high school football in Pinecrest, a suburb of Miami. Taylor has four siblings named Gabriel Taylor, Monika Martin, Jamal Johnson, and Sasha Johnson. He attended Miami Killian High School, a Class 2A public school, where he originally began his football career but later transferred.
He later transferred from Miami Killian High School to Gulliver Preparatory School, where he was a three-sport star in track, basketball, and football. In the football (American football) section, he played both offense and defense. Despite his late transfer to Gulliver Preparatory School, Taylor helped Gulliver win the Florida Class 2A State Championship in 2000 with a 14–1 record.
Taylor began his football career in high school. He later transferred from Miami Killian High School to Gulliver Preparatory School, where he was a three-sport star in track, basketball, and football. After graduating from high school, he went on to college, where he played college football at Miami, where he was a member of the 2001 BCS National Championship team and won the Jack Tatum Trophy. He gained a reputation as a hard-hitting player, was nicknamed “Meast” from the expression “half man, half beast,” and made one Pro Bowl appearance in 2006. The Maimi Herald considered Taylor the No. 1 prospect in Miami-Dade County.
He was also rated the an All-American by Super Prep and nation’s No. 1 skill athlete. He was also rated the No. 1 player in Florida by The Gainesville Sun, the No. 1 athlete on the Florida Times-Union Super 75 list, and was also an Orlando Sentinel Super Southern Team selection.
Intruders broke into Taylor’s vacant building on November 18, 2007, and threaded through a desk and a safe.He was shot by intruders at his Miami area home while investigating the cause. Sean was shot in the upper leg by an intruder.
His fiancee, Jackie Garca, and their 18-month-old daughter, Jackie, escaped unscathed. He was rushed to the hospital but died the following day because he lost too much blood, according to the police report. His funeral was held on December 3, 2007, in Miami at the Pharmed Arena at Florida International University.
