On Sunday, the authorities located human remains in a barrel carrying the remains of a victim who is believed to have been murdered some decades ago. The remains were found in a dried-up lake west of Las Vegas.
The barrel was situated in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area of the United States. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the container was found by boaters, who then notified the authorities of their discovery.
