The 33 years old said: My era at Bayern is over.

“I don’t see any possibility to continue playing for this club anymore.

What did Javier Tebas say about Lewandowski’s chance of joining Barcelona?

In an interview with Marca, Javier Tebas said: “They Barcelona know what they have to do.

‘They know perfectly well our economic control rules and their financial situation. The rules are there to avoid major economic problems. I don’t know if they will sell De Jong, Pedri, or Pepito Perez.

“They know what they have to do – sell assets and earn more, this is what they have to do.

“Barca has had many accumulated losses in the last tax years, some of which could have been avoided and they have to stock the pantry.

“Just as Madrid has stocked up, Barcelona has emptied it. Today they cannot sign him (Lewandowski).”

With Robert Lewandoski’s future at Bayern Munich in doubt, Poland National team head coach has urged his captain to sign for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

“Public statements like that don’t get you anywhere.

“Robert became world footballer (of the year) here twice in a row – I think he should know what he has at Bayern.
