Career
Sudeep launched his film career with 1997’s Thayavva. He then performed a supporting role in Sunil Kumar Desai’s film Prathyartha and a leading role in his movie Sparsha. 2001’s Huchcha gave him his first significant following. In 2008, he made his Bollywood debut with Phoonk. He has also appeared in Rann, Phoonk 2, and Rakta Charitra by Ram Gopal Varma. S. Narayan advised him to change his stage name from Sudeep to Sudeepa for the 2010 film Veera Parampare, and after the film’s success, he decided to retain the title.
