Despite the Three Lions’ slow start at the Euro, Crystal Palace center-back Marc Guehi has shone brightly. The 23-year-old, who had only 11 England caps before the tournament, has showcased his skills, forming a formidable partnership with Manchester City center-back John Stones in the absence of Harry Maguire.
The football world is abuzz with the news that Marc Guehi has caught the attention of top clubs like Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Arsenal this summer. Before the Tournaments, the Crystal Palace center-back had only 11 England caps, but his performance has clearly made an impact.
The 23-year-old will be eager to prove why clubs need to break the bank this summer to earn his signature when England plays their last group stage game against Slovenia on Tuesday.
John Stone has hailed Marc Guehi’s performance and the impact he had on England in their first two matches at the Euros.

What did John Stone say about Marc Guehi?
Quizzed to discuss his defensive partner Marc Guehi’s impact at the Euros, he said via BBC Radio 5 Live: “So good, so good.
“For him to come in, not having felt the feelings around tournament football before or these kind of games, all kinds of different emotions that come with it that you’ve never experienced before. He’s handled [it] so well, his performances have been great.
“I said to him when we’re in this, or whoever’s playing or whoever I’m playing with, I’m your right arm, you are my left. We do this together. I’ve got your back, and he’s bought into that so well.
“I believe massively in partnerships and that you do it all together and I feel that he’s handled the occasion so well and I really enjoy playing with him.”
Another English star who has been impressed with Marc Guehi’s performance is Anthony Gordon, who has revealed that he will be happy to see him join Newcastle United in the summer.
Anthony Gordon told TalkSporst when asked about the speculation linking Marc Guehi’ to Newcastle United: “I haven’t actually seen the Newcastle links, but it goes without saying I’d absolutely love him to come because he’s a top player, and he’d make us a better team.
“He’s top, he’s such a good player and I was glad the nation got to see him shine on that stage because he’s such a lovely guy and he deserves what’s coming to him.
“I thought he was unbelievable in that game [against Serbia] considering his height compared to the strikers they had on.
“‘He won every header, he was aggressive, intercepting loads and his main strength is composure on the ball, he’s like a midfielder. So him and Stonesy at the back, it’s a great partnership to control a game.”‘
Anthony Gordon is another star tipped to make England’s start eleven against Slovenia on Tuesday following their poor performance against Denmark.
