According to the Navy, at about 2:30 p.m., a F/A-18E Super Hornet pilot by the name of Richard Bullock, who was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California, was unexpectedly compelled to land his fighter aircraft in an “unpopulated zone.”
As a result of the event, “no personnel were wounded,” as stated in an official statement that was distributed by the Naval Air Forces Public Affairs Office.
