The Premier League produced another dramatic ending as the club played its final game of the Premier League season.
Manchester City won the Premier League with 93 points with one point off second-place Liverpool who had 92 points. The Citizens had to summon the spirit of 2012 when Sergio Aguero’s winning goal against Queens Park Rangers secured the title for Manchester City against their City rivals Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s men were down by 2-0 in the 76th minute of the game. With the introduction of Gundogan Manchester City was able to achieve one of the greatest comebacks in the Club’s history.
The Citizens scored three goals in five minutes to win the game by 3-2. Liverpool on the other hand also came back from a goal down to win 3-1.
Chelsea, who had already confirmed their third-place finish after their 1-1 draw with Leicester City won their final Premier League game against relegated Watford. Tottenham Hotspurs booked their spot in next season’s Champions League after thrashing Norwich City by 5-0.
Leeds United secured Premier League survival after beating Brentford 2-1 and Burnley was not lucky enough to survive after they lost 2-0 to resurgent Newcastle United.
In the Premier League broadcasting deals are shared among teams based on their performance at the end of the season with the Teams on top of the League table earning higher than teams below them.
Manchester City is expected to earn £44 million as Champions, with Liverpool and Chelsea receiving £4.8 Million and £39.6 Million respectively.
