Hillary Clinton stated on Sunday that the United States must “deal with extremism of any form,” in light of the fact that the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks is approaching.
According to the media on “State of the Union,” the former secretary of state told host Dana Bash that the events of September 11th still had lessons to teach. As Clinton put it, “we have also, I think, been reminded of how vital it is to attempt to deal with extremism of any form, especially when it employs violence to try to achieve political and ideological aims.” Accordingly, “I’m one who feels there are still lessons to be learned from what happened to us on 9/11 that we should be extremely conscious of during this period in our country’s and the world’s history,” she said.
In it, Clinton reflected on his role as a senator representing New York at the time of the attacks and how the country came together to support President George W. Bush in a way it hasn’t seen since.
