A Democratic super PAC has released two new advertisements attacking the Republican candidate for the Pennsylvania Senate Dr. Mehmet Oz over claims that he participated in medical research that resulted in the deaths of pups and dogs.
CNN broke the news of the television ads for the Senate Majority PAC for the first time. According to the network, the TV ad campaign for the Pennsylvania election is anticipated to cost at least $33 million.
A voiceover in one advertisement claims, “It’s a narrative of unspeakable abuse,” according to Politico. Mehmet Oz killed around 300 dogs while doing experiments on puppies. The advertisement continues by stating that the puppies used in the studies “scream[ing] horrifyingly, trying to breathe, oozing blood, puking, paralyzed.”
The other advertisement centers on a specific dog that was allegedly kept in the lab for 29 days before being seized by Oz “for the ‘final experiment’.”
