Police said that a woman died after falling 70 feet from a cliff at a state park in New York while snapping pictures with her spouse.
According to a news release from state police on December 26, the married pair from Singapore was hiking in Minnewaska State Park in Ulster County when rescuers arrived in response to the husband’s 911 call on December 22 in the afternoon.
About 100 miles north of New York City, on the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge, is where you’ll find the park. There are 50 miles of trails in this preserve, along with a variety of ledges, cliffs, waterfalls, flowing streams, and three lakes.

The woman “succumbed to her injuries” in the hospital, according to the police.
According to the announcement, authorities are looking into her death.
You may go hiking, biking, rock climbing, swimming, and doing a lot of other recreational things at Minnewaska State Park. The California Department of Environmental Conservation reports that coyotes, white-tailed deer, timber rattlesnakes, and over 200 species of birds live in the preserve.
