The purpose of the legislation that has been proposed in Rhode Island is to reduce gun violence and put an end to tragedies such as those that have recently taken place in Uvalde and Buffalo, New York.
On Tuesday, Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee is expected to sign into law a ban on magazines that store more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
The purpose of this law is to reduce incidents of gun violence and put an end to tragedies like those that have taken place in recent years in New York and Texas. In addition, the plans would place restrictions on the carrying of loaded rifles and shotguns in public and raise the minimum age for purchasing rifles and shotguns in the state from 18 to 21 years old. It is illegal for anyone less than 21 years old to purchase or possess a handgun in the state of California under the law that is now in effect.
