Chelsea and England star Cole Palmer became the first player in Premier League history to score four first-half goals in Chelsea’s 4-2 win over Brighton.
After an incredible first season with Chelsea, where he scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists, many pundits thought he would struggle to replicate his first-season form. However, the 22-year-old has just started the new season as he left off last season. Palmer has already scored six goals and provided four assists in six matches this season.
Former England international and now Pundits on BBC Gary Lineker claims Cole Palmer might be the best England player now. England boasts exceptional talents, including Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Harry Kane, and Kobbie Mainoo, but Lineker believes Coe Palmer is the best among the lot.
Gary Lineker said on BBC’s Match of the Day: “Every time I see him, he takes my breath away. An extraordinary footballer.
“‘Of all the talented players England have got, he might be the best of the lot.”

Meanwhile, Gary Neville is shocked by Cole Palmers’ exceptional performance.
Chelsea’s manager also hailed Cole Palmer as not the best English player but the best player in the Premier League. Manchester United legend Gary Neville claims Palmer is not far from being the best in the Premier League.
Asked whether he agreed with Enzo Maresca’s claim about Cole Palmer being the Premier League’s best player, Gary Neville replied to NBC Sports: “He’s not far off! I have to say that I was surprised last season.
“I remember when Mohamed Salah scored those goals all those years ago, and I thought, “He won’t repeat that in the second season, he won’t repeat that in the third season”, and Cole Palmer is just going and completely shocking me in terms of what he’s delivering.
“I can’t believe the level that he’s getting to and to think that he wasn’t playing for England in the European Championship in the summer now just seems absolutely ridiculous.
“And it seems even more ridiculous that Manchester City, who have been unbelievable in the transfer market, have let one of their own go.”
Following the 4-2 victory over Brighton, Chelsea is just two points behind leaders Liverpool, one point behind second-place Manchester City, and three points behind third-place Arsenal.
The Blues will be in action on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League before returning to the Premier League to face Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.
