Forgive Badu Kobi – Prophet One appeals

Founder and Leader of Ebenezer Miracle Worship Center, Rev Opambour Ebenezer Adarkwa Yiadom has condemned Prophet Badu Kobi for generalising his description of women from some tribes in the country.

According to him, the founder and leader of Glorious Wave Church International has a point as some women really match the description he gave but he erred when he didn’t mention that not all women from the stated tribes are such.

“What he (Badu Kobi) said are part of the characteristics that exist among humans. Foolishness, wisdom, greed and envy all exist. Someone will advise her daughter to bring money home when she gets married and another will advise hers to be a humble and supportive wife. But he should have made it clear that these characteristics are not general.”

He, therefore, appealed to Ghanaians to forgive Prophet Badu Kobi as he mistakenly omitted ‘some’ in his comment.

“Ghanaians should forgive him. Fantes, Asanti’s and Ewe’s should all forgive so all this is put to an end. Any pastor can make such mistake so please forgive him,” he noted.

Rev Adarkwa Yiadom who is married to a Fante added that “there is a Fante woman who is foolish and there is a Fante woman who is wise because my wife is not foolish…everyone knows that some people are wise and others are foolish, some are greedy and others are not”.

Prophet Badu Kobi has come under attack after he described Asanti women as greedy and problematic, Fante women as foolish and Ewe women as timid and dormant.

“When you marry an Ashanti lady, you have imported trouble upon yourself, they are greedy. I will not mince words, I have done a research over the years to come to this conclusion” the prophet said.

He continued “Though Fante women sometimes are foolish, but Ashanti women? No!… Ayibe (Ewe) women are too much dormant but Ashantis, they are greedy”.

Several calls for Prophet Badu Kobi to apologize have fallen on deaf ears.
