Brenda Darla Howey, age 37, and her husband, Michael Clayton Howey, age 36, were taken into custody on 13 counts of animal cruelty.
A man and a woman were arrested in Florida when deputies discovered they were living in a filthy residence with their children and pets.
Michael Clayton Howey, age 36, and Brenda Darla Howey, age 37, have both been charged with animal cruelty-related offenses. The total amount of bail required for everyone currently being held in the Citrus County Detention Facility is $13,000.
On Wednesday, officers from Animal Control and the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office were sent to a property in Beverly Hills in response to a complaint lodged by Code Enforcement officers investigating a case concerning garbage and debris accumulation outside the dwelling.
