The cold case inquiry of Zachariah Shorty’s murder in New Mexico is intensifying.
According to his mother, federal authorities have discovered a fresh lead in the cold case murder of a New Mexico artist who disappeared after a recording session at a hotel under dubious circumstances.
On July 21, 2020, Zachariah Shorty was last seen alive at the Journey Inn in Farmington, New Mexico, a small, friendly town in the northwest of the state bordering Navajo Nation.
He was a musician, twenty-three, and he and four other individuals had come to the hotel to record.
His specific departure’s circumstances are unknown. At around eleven p.m., his mother, Evangeline “Vangie” Randall-Shorty, received a call from one of his pals. The caller informed her that her son left to have a cigarette outdoors and never came back.
