Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on the Mason Mount contract situation at Chelsea and he claimed the England international is ready to commit his future to Chelsea.

There has been a report linking Mason Mount to Manchester City and Liverpool but Fabrizio Romano insists the Chelsea academy graduate has not had any negotiations with either Manchester City or Liverpool.

Mason Mount has been sensational ever since he made his competitive debut for Chelsea in their 4-0 defeat to Manchester United under Frank Lampard.

The 23 years old England international has gone on to make 157 appearances for Chelsea scoring 29 in the process.

Mount was named Chelsea player of the season last year after helping the Blues win their second Champions League and also assisted Kai Havertz to score the only goal of the final.

Potential Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is believed to have made the contract renewal of Mason Mount and Reece James his priority if he wins the bid to be the new Chelsea owner.

The Chelsea Midfielder is one of the players on a lower wage in the Chelsea squad as the 23 years old Midfielder earns £76,000 a week which is low compared to his performance for the Blues week in and week out.

Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel want to give the 23 years old England international a fresh contract that would double his current wage and make him one of the top earner at Chelsea in a new five years deal.

The new deal means that the player gets priced off of the transfer market with a new contract that includes a clause, making him one of the most expensive teenager in the Europe and the whole World.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Mason Mount Mount contract renewal is number on the list of Chelsea as the Blues are prepared to give their star man an improved contract.

Fabrizio Romano on Mason Mount’s contract situation at Chelsea amid Manchester City and Liverpool speculations.

He wrote in his exclusive column for CaughtOffside that: priority.“There’s been some speculation about Mason Mount’s situation at Chelsea, but I don’t think Blues fans have too much to worry about, despite the uncertainty surrounding the club ownership.’’

“Mason Mount’s priority has always been to stay at Chelsea. There are no doubts about his commitment, but certainly, his situation is to be monitored like those of Marcos Alonso, Jorginho, and N’Golo Kante.

“In fact, all these players have been waiting for months to discuss the extension of the contract with Chelsea but there have been no changes; the sanctions have slowed down the contract renewal process.

“Mason Mount’s contract remains pending but it will be one of the priorities for the club to extend the agreement with him and with N’Golo Kante, while Alonso has a good chance of returning to Spain. As of today, Mount is not in negotiations with Liverpool or Man City.”

Mason Mount has scored 12 goals and provided 15 assists in 50 appearances for Chelsea this season. he is currently Chelsea’s top scorer in the Premier League with 10 goals.
