Chelsea signed their second summer after completing a £5m deal for Barcelona and Spanish starlet Marc Guin from Spanish giant Barcelona.
Marc Guin made his first debut last season for Barcelona, scoring two goals in seven appearances. However, because of competition from the Barcelona attack, Guin spent most of the season with the Barcelona B Team and scored six goals in seventeen appearances.
The 18-year-old was added to Chelsea’s pre-season squad for their Tour in the United States. The media has speculated that Chelsea might sign the Spanish striker on Loan, as Chelsea is still in the transfer market looking to sign an established striker.
However, Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca insists the club has yet to make a decision on Marc Guin’s future.
What did Enzo Maresca say?
Enzo Maresca revealed: “The idea with Marc, with all the young players, is to have a look now during the pre-season and then to make a decision altogether,’ Maresca said.
“I think Marc is doing well and he’s one of the guys in this moment is going to stay with us and not going to go somewhere.”
Chelsea’s manager revealed that the Team will improve after the second consecutive defeat to Celtics in the pre-season.

He said: “As we said, the result is always important.
“For us, we need to analyse the game in general. I think on the ball, the team were 10 times better than in the game against Wrexham and that is important because we can see the amount of chances we created first-half and second-half.
“And off the ball, for sure, we can improve things and you can see sometimes we confuse when we need to play short, a little bit longer. It’s part of the process.
“For sure, we need many things to improve off the ball. One of the things we did bad today was when the ball was not under pressure, to maintain the high-line. When the ball is not under pressure, you need to drop.
“We still confuse some things on and off the ball. For me, it’s normal in this moment. We are trying to do something new. But for sure, game after game, training after training, we are going to be ready.”
Asked if he can formulate his ideals and plans for Team before the season begin, Enzo added: “We are, for sure, going to be ready for that game or at least we are going to improve things for that game.
“But I am not thinking for the first official game that everything is fine. It’s a little bit difficult.
“The result is always important but in this moment we need to judge and analyse different things.
“On the ball we created chances, off the ball we probably conceded too much and that is something we need to improve.”
Chelsea are still to face Real Madrid and Manchester City in their pres
-season tour in the United States. As things stand, Chelsea fans are far more than happy about their team’s performance in the pre-season.
