John Terry is in shock as he reacts to Rudiger’s Chelsea exist

The former Chelsea captain shared his frustration with the departure of Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea on Instagram.

Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel confirmed on Sunday via Sky Sports that he(Antonio Rudiger) has informed him in a private chat that he will be leaving Chelsea at the end of the summer.

Rudiger joined Chelsea in 2017 and despite having to acclimate to the Premier League’s high pace and toughness at first, and earning widespread criticism for his on-field performances, Antonio has developed into one of Chelsea’s important players and one of the best in the Premier League under Thomas Tuchel. 

The German defender enjoyed a successful five years at Stamford Bridge that has seen him win the Champions League, the Europa League, the FA Cup, and the Club World Cup. In addition, He was also named in the Champions League squad of the season for the 2020/21 term.

John Terry has questioned why Chelsea is allowing one of their best players to leave on a free transfer and could not come to terms with the fact that he will be leaving at the end of the season.

John Terry’s reaction to Rudiger’s departure

Reacting to a post from Sky Sports which confirmed that Rudiger will leave the club on a free transfer this summer, Terry commented: “How have we let this man go.” 

Thomas Tuchel also added that Chelsea had offered Rudiger a contract extension but admitted the sanction prevented Chelsea from negotiating with the player.

“We fought hard,” said Tuchel. “I fought hard on a personal level. We made big offers to him, and the club tried everything

“But for some weeks we cannot fight anymore because we have the sanctions. We cannot adjust. We cannot continue, and so it is what it is.

“He deserves my full support because he delivered incredible performances right until today. I’m just happy that I had the chance to coach him and to have him on the team. Because he was nothing but brilliant.”

Real Madrid has reached a verbal agreement with Antonio Rüdiger

According to transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano, Antonio Rudiger has agreed to join Real Madrid next season.

He tweeted: Real Madrid has reached a verbal agreement with Antonio Rüdiger. The contract is not signed yet – but Real Madrid is now closing on the Rüdiger deal for free: here we go soon!

It’s gonna be a long-term deal. Final details to be discussed soon, before signing the contract.

The agreement between Toni Rüdiger and Real Madrid has been reached on a four-year deal, valid until June 2026.

It’s a matter of final details before signing the contracts. No official announcement before the end of the season, even if Toni will sign in May.

Rudiger is believed to have agreed to sign a four-year deal with the Spanish giant and he expected to receive as much as £400,000-a-week as well as an enormous signing-on fee and agent’s fee.

Aotonio Rudiger has made 196 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, scoring 12 goals while doing so under four different managers: Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri, Frank Lampard, and Thomas Tuchel.
