The authorities in Florida say that they had no choice but to apprehend a guy who had staged a heart attack in order to escape being detained by police during a routine traffic stop.
Brent Christopher Heath, 40 years old and a resident of Palm Coast, Florida, was taken into custody and accused with possessing fentanyl, paraphernalia, and hashish. Heath was apprehended. In addition to that, he was taken into custody for disrespecting the police.
On Sunday in Bunnell, Florida, near the junction of Mahogany Boulevard and Honeytree Street, officers from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office pulled over Heath’s vehicle. They suspected him of driving under the influence of alcohol. After a deputy detected the odor of marijuana emanating from inside Heath’s vehicle, a search was conducted to establish probable cause.
According to the authorities, a prescription bottle was found that had a “golden-brown oil substance” that most likely included both tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and fentanyl. The container was found in a public place.
