Don Harvey Francks, better known by his stage name Iron Buffalo, is a well-known Canadian actor, comedian, and singer from Burnaby, Canada. Don was born on February 28, 1932, in Burnaby, Canada, under the zodiac sign of Pisces, with the nationality of Canada and white ethnicity. Soon after his birth, he was adopted. His father was an electrician, while his mother worked at a music store.

Career
Don Harvey started his career at a very young age. As a child, he performed on Vancouver radio, imitating singers. In 1955, he got a part on the CBC-TV show Burns Chuckwagon from the Stampede Corral, which he played repeatedly. Also, after guest appearances on television shows during the late 1950s, he received his first lead role in the 1959–60 CBC-TV program R.C.M.P., playing Constable Bill Mitchell. He had roles on the US television programs Mission: Impossible, Jericho, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., The Wild, Wild West, and Mannix during the 1960s.
His most famous film role was in Francis Ford Coppola’s adaptation of “Finian’s Rainbow.” He also acted on Broadway in “On a Clear Day You Can See Forever” and “Kelly.” He rejected an offer to work with Katharine Hepburn in Coco in 1969, her only stage musical. In 1962, Francks was the leader of “Three,” an avant-garde jazz trio with guitarist Lenny Breau and double bassist Eon Henstridge. The band was featured in the National Film Board documentary Toronto Jazz and frequently performed in Toronto and New York City.
Franks’s first solo album, No One in This World Is Like Don Francks came out in 1963. It was recorded at New York City’s Village Vanguard. The album’s name comes from something Jackie Gleason said when the trio played “Bye Bye Blackbird” on The Jackie Gleason Show on April 23, 1963. Patrick Williams worked on the orchestral arrangements for his second album, Lost… and Alone, which he made two years later. In 2002, at the Top of the Senator in Toronto, he made his last album, 21st Century Francks. In 2014, the album came out.
