This place is rich in history and heritage. This is because of its strategic positioning during WWII and the POW (prisoners of war) who were held captive by the Japanese. There are many WWII sites that you can visit in Changi Village. These include the Changi Museum, the Battle Box, and the former Ford Factory. The Changi Chapel & Museum in Singapore has a collection of personal belongings, artworks, and letters belonging to the POWs who were held captive at Changi during WWII.

The Battle Box is a WWII museum located in the basement of Fort Canning Park. It was used as an underground command center during the war. The former Ford Factory is where the British surrender took place on February 15, 1942. It is now a museum that tells the story of Singapore during WWII.
