In the wee hours of Friday morning, according to the White House, Vice President Biden will deliver a speech “on ensuring continued access to reproductive health care services.” It is anticipated that he would detail steps being made to lessen some of the effects that women seeking abortions may experience as a result of the ruling; but, his ability to preserve access to abortions across the country is limited.
According to the Associated Press, Vice President Joe Biden is expected to direct the Departments of Justice and Health and Human Services to oppose any state efforts to limit a woman’s ability to travel across state lines to have an abortion that is legally permitted or to obtain abortion medicine that is authorized by the federal government.

The executive order that was signed by President Joe Biden will also urge federal agencies to educate medical professionals and insurance firms on the circumstances under which they are forced to discuss sensitive patient information with the government. According to him, the FTC will be requested to take steps to ensure the privacy of those seeking information on reproductive care online. This request will be made to the FTC.
