West Ham captain Declan Rice has described Borussia Dortmund Midfielder Jude Bellingham as strong and energetic.
The 19-year-old England international has established himself as one of the top prospects in the world.
Jude Bellingham is attracting interest from top European elite clubs like Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United.
There are rumors that Borrusia Dortmund has placed a £150 million price tag on the England international as interest in him grows.
At the tender age of 19, Jude Bellingham has scored 13 goals and provided 18 assists in 100 appearances for Dortmund. He has also earned 15 cups for the England National Team.
There are calls for Jude Bellingham to be a regular starter in the England National Team by Southgate.
What did Declan Rice say about Jude Bellingham?
In an interview with Talksport, when asked to assess Jude Bellingham’s Talent and Potential, he said: “I think he’s energetic. He’s strong, has self-belief, and has no fear.
“He’s got everything as a 19-year-old, you know, he’s a man, he has played on the big occasions already. He’s ready to play, but obviously, it’s down to the manager to pick what he thinks is best.
“He’s still only 19—by the time he’s 22, 23, he’s going to be incredible.”
On his partnership with Jude Bellingham, The West Ham skipper said: “When I’ve played with Jude, I loved it.
“Obviously it takes time to gel with a partner. You’re not going to get that connection straight away.
“But over time you do and even with all the other midfielders in the squad, I hope that we can go on for the next 10 years and create a special, special bond in the middle of the pitch.
“I hope everyone does well because that’s what you need. You need a squad and you need everyone to be at it, and you need to be ready whenever you’re called upon.
“If I was playing next to Jude, obviously I already have done in a major tournament, I would say to him to just to go and express himself.
“Go and do what he does best. Go and get on the ball and attack people, go and run at people.
“If you lose the ball, don’t care. Just go and enjoy it and I’ll be there to defend for you.
“When you’ve got a player like that, you need to give them the luxury of getting on the ball and expressing themselves and he’s got that in there.”
Meanwhile, England and Manchester United icon Bryan Robson believes Jude Bellingham has a bit on him.
The 65-year-old said via The Athletic UK: “You can see why he has become such a big target in the market because he is such a big talent. Now there is talk about him moving next summer and you see Liverpool is mentioned a lot.
“I definitely think he might have a bit of me in him. It’s all very well flying forward and trying to score, but it’s also about protecting your back four. That was something I always believed that you had to do as a midfielder.
“I watched him closely playing against City and you could see how much he’s progressed. He has fantastic anticipation — as we saw in the way he darted into the box to put away his header. But he wins plenty of battles as well. And if he keeps performing as he did against City he will be a big part of England’s World Cup bid.”
We expect Jude Bellingham to break the British record transfer fee for a single player with his £150 million price tag.
