There are reports that Neymar has been told to search for a new club this summer after the year-old Brazilian Superstar has been deemed not to be part of the new project with French international Kylian Mbappe now face of Paris Saint Germain following his new three years bumper deal.

Neymar has a contract with Paris Saint Germain until 2027 after triggering an automatic clause in his contract that will be seen him extend his stay at the club for additional two years.

The Brazilian international has strong ties with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel and Thiago Silva. Thiago Silva has opened up about his desire to open up for his Brazilian compatriots to join him at Chelsea. Paris Saint Germain has placed a price tag of £ 50 million on Neymar.

Cristiano Ronaldo has missed two consecutive pre-season training after reports that he has been told to leave Manchester United. Ronaldo second coming to Old Trafford was a disaster despite the five-time Ballon d’Or winner having an exceptional season scoring 24 goals in 39 appearances including 18 goals in the Premier League.

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has already heard talks to Chelsea co-owner and acting Chairman Todd Boehly over a possible transfer for the 37-year-old Portuguese international.

However, former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy insists Raheem Sterling is the ideal signing for the Blues this summer.

What does Jason Cundy say?

Speaking on talkSPORTS about a potential Chelsea signing this summer, the former Chelsea defender said: “I think that, I’ve said this many many times, I think Neymar is overrated.

“I’m not saying he’s a bad player, I think he’s overrated, that’s my take on that, I’m not so sure he’d fit in at Chelsea.

“Ronaldo, there’s a part of me that’s a little bit concerned that it’s not going to be a Thomas Tuchel signing, it feels a little bit like a Todd Boehly one where he’s come in with the money and he’s getting seduced by one of the world’s greatest ever players and he’s available.

“And then there’s Sterling, which for me makes so much sense, I don’t quite know what he’s going to cost but it feels and sounds like it’s going to be a decent deal.”

Meanwhile talk sports pundit and transfer Guru Alex Crook believes the final say on the decision to Sign Ronaldo lies with Thomas Tuchel.

Alex Crook added: “I think ultimately Thomas Tuchel will have the final decisions.

“Todd Boehly is leading negotiations but it’s my understanding that Tuchel is leading the list of targets.

“Todd Boehly as an owner strikes me as somebody who would want to make a big statement, a Ronaldo or a Neymar, clearly he has held talks with Jorge Mendes, that’s not been denied to me.

“I’m not convinced as much as Tuchel is an admirer of Ronaldo that he will push for Ronaldo, my understanding is that Raheem Sterling is his top target and that may happen by the end of the week.”
