Tubbs was the one who was responsible for the death of Michael Clark in April of this year, and he is currently being held on a bond of one million dollars due to the circumstances surrounding the incident. The District Attorney for Los Angeles County, George Gascon, decided to have Tubbs committed to a juvenile facility for some time equal to two years. This was done to avoid Tubbs from being tried as an adult for a sexual assault charge committed in 2014 against a young girl. The offense was committed by Tubbs against the young girl.

Tubbs had only a few weeks left to go before he was 18 years old when the assault took place. After the incident, Gascon was the target of a barrage of criticism because he had in the past enacted a policy that banned adults from being prosecuted as juveniles. As a result of this policy, adults were not tried as juveniles. Later on, Tubbs boasted about his light sentence and the fact that he wouldn’t have to register as a sex offender after he was released from jail in a phone call that he made from jail. He said this while bragging about the fact that he wouldn’t have to register as a sex fender after he was released.
