After a shot was fired at a secret party in Boyle Heights, three persons were shot and murdered, and three others were injured and taken to the hospital.
According to reports from the Los Angeles Police Department, a gunshot took place in the 1400 block of South Lorena Street at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Sunday.

The woman received medical attention at the scene, and she was discharged afterward.
Officials with the Los Angeles Police Department have revealed that one of those injured was a security guard, and the police suspect that another one of those murdered may have been another security guard.
As of this moment, the police have not identified any suspects and have not been able to catch anyone who was involved in the crime.
At this point, it is unknown whether the shooting was tied to gang activity; nonetheless, the authorities are investigating the possibility.
