As votes are still being counted on Friday, Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert, a former ally of President Trump, has edged out her Democratic opponent.

Boebert has advanced in the count for the first time since voting started earlier this week in an unusually close race where the newbie lawmaker is battling to secure a second term.
