According to park officials, a hiker who had slept overnight at the base of the Grand Canyon was discovered deceased.
The National Park Service (NPS) reports that the 41-year-old man, whose identity has not been made public, was found “unresponsive” on the Bright Angel Trail on Sunday morning, just east of the Pipe Creek River Resthouse.
