At Comperatore’s funeral on Friday in Cabot, Pennsylvania, his legacy as a devoted family man was honored.
Billy Ray Cyrus made an appearance at Corey Comepratore’s burial on Friday. Comepratore was a volunteer fireman, a husband, and a parent who was shot and died last Saturday at a Donald Trump event.
On Friday morning, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer was spotted outside Cabot United Methodist Church in Cabot, Pennsylvania, taking pictures and shaking hands with law enforcement officers there.
“Corey Comperatore is a former chief fireman and veteran of the Army Reserve. Billy Ray Cyrus has always had a strong desire to recognize first responders and military personnel. He was honored to attend the ceremony with the family today and provide a performance,” a source told Fox News Digital on Friday.
Hundreds of friends, family members, and federal and local law enforcement authorities traveled to Cabot for Comperatore’s burial. He was fifty years old. American flags and placards commemorating Comperatore were hung around the rural roads surrounding the church by Butler County people, both familiar and unfamiliar with the Comperatore family.
