An official from the White House said on Sunday that in reaction to the recent outbreak of infections, the administration of Vice President Joe Biden plans to push all Americans to take a booster immunization against coronavirus this autumn.
The official emphasized that the situation is still under control despite the fact that the CDC has recorded an increase in the number of new cases and hospitalizations due to the virus.
On Thursday, the first findings from the human trial of the modified COVID-19 vaccine that Moderna developed to protect against the “Eris” and “Fornax” subvariants were made public.
The COVID-19 vaccines developed by Moderna, its rivals Novavax and Pfizer, and their German partner BioNTech SE all have the XBB as their primary target.It’s a version of the 1.5 scale.
