With over 15 million people playing Valorant on a monthly basis, choosing the right teams to follow could be a shot in the dark. Knowing the best teams and a little background history can make this decision a lot easier. Here are our top fire teams we think you should have a look at.
DRX
DRX are one of the newer teams on the Valorant roster, but that doesn’t mean that they lack experience or skills. The team was formed when DRX bought the whole of the Vision Strikers roster. Every player came across and started afresh with DRX in 2022 to a pretty convincing start. Winning the VCT 2022: Korea Stage 1 Challengers tournament and qualifying to the VCT 2022: Stage 1 Masters event in Reykjavík.
KRÜ Esports team
KRÜ Esports made a bit of a large splash in the Valorant community with a great result in the VALORANT Champions tournament in 2021, coming 3-4th and having battled through three stages of qualifiers, they quickly grabbed the attention of fans. The swell of support can be seen in KRU’s twitter account which currently has 240k followers.
As a newer team, they achieved some great results in 2021, then backed those up with wins in Stage 1 and Stage 2 of the VCT 2022, this year. KRÜ Esports are definitely a team to keep an eye on.
Fnatic
Joining the Valorant leagues in early 2021, Fnatic have built up a strong and dynamic team. Winning the Masters in Reykjavik is almost enough reason to follow Fnatic, but there’s just as much reason to watch them outside of the tournaments as Fnatic signed PilotCeeBee as a streamer in the back end of 2021.
Finding tournaments and matches to watch Fnatic in, is made easier when you have the best Valorant tracker guide showing us when all the matches are being played.
G2 Esports
One of the more established teams in the Valorant community, Gamers2 started life back in 2013. Arguably their best season came in 2020 when the team won seven different tournaments and finishing 3-4th in their only defeat all year.
Travel restrictions and a new roster have really hampered G2 Esports in 2021 and so far in 2022. The team once regarded as the best in the world, are now fighting for that crown once again.
The Guard
If you wanted to cheer on the underdog, then The Guard are the tam for you. They have surprised many teams this year and created some amazing upsets. None of the squad had played in the Masters tournament before this year, but they look set to make regular return trips with the results they’re currently building.
Picking any team in Valorant to follow is never going to be easy, but these five all warrant lot of attention. From the plucky underdog, to the eternal champions, there isn’t a bad choice on this list. The main thing is that we get to enjoy watching some epic battles and seeing the best players in the world perform.
