The court appearance of an Alabama man accused of murder is set to take place on Friday, according to a correction official.
As reported by the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, Vicki White, the assistant director of corrections for the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, and inmate Casey Cole White were last seen leaving a detention facility at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, when they were last seen leaving the detention facility.

According to Sheriff Rick Singleton, who appeared at a news conference on Friday, the booking officer at the detention facility was informed by Vicki White, a 25-year detention center employee, that she was transferring Casey Cole White to the court system for a mental health evaluation. She also indicated that she was not feeling well and that she intended to seek medical attention after leaving him off at his destination.
