The artificial intelligence creates sexual material targeted at youngsters and blackmails teens, according to a digital safety expert.
In response to the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) systems that are capable of creating realistic images, criminals with the intention of abusing children and teenagers have increased their attempts to blackmail minors and produce child pornography.
Yaron Litwin, the Chief Marketing Officer of Canopy and a Digital Safety Expert, said that pedophiles are using these new technologies in order to distribute online photos of child sexual assault. Canopy is an artificial intelligence platform that is at the forefront of the fight against hazardous information found online.
With the use of image editing software, a genuine photograph of a young person who is dressed may be altered to depict them without any clothes on. Because of his interest in maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the young man, who was just 15 years old at the time, became active in an online group that was comprised of gym enthusiasts. At one point, he took a photo after his exercise and exposed his bare chest to the camera. The teenager had the erroneous belief that his image was safe in the hands of other gym-goers; instead, it had been stolen, altered into a nude photograph, and then used to blackmail him later on.
