Inmate Demi Minor, who identifies as transgender, was moved from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in New Jersey to another facility.
According to a local newspaper, a woman who was serving time at a women’s jail in New Jersey was transferred to another institution after she was found to have impregnated two other female criminals earlier this year.
Demi Minor, 27, was moved from the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility in Clinton to the Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in Burlington County last month, according to information provided to NJ.com by a spokesman for the New Jersey Department of Corrections (NJDOC).
According to Sperrazza, Minor, who is now the only female inmate at the jail and is serving a manslaughter conviction that carries a sentence of thirty years, has been transferred to a “vulnerable area.” The publication claims that he was unable to give any additional information about Minor’s living position because of the stringent privacy rules that the NJDOC has in place.
Following “consensual sexual relations with another detained female,” the New York Daily News reported in April that two women incarcerated at Edna Mahan were able to have a child while incarcerated there. The conclusion that Minor came to then follows that story.
