More than 300 members of various gangs have been apprehended across the border so far during this current fiscal year.
According to a statement released by the Department of Justice on Friday, an illegal immigrant who was also a member of the MS-13 gang was given a sentence of ninety months in federal prison for narcotics and weapon offenses.
After unlawfully entering the country in 2014, Franklin Pinedo-Caceras, better known by his alias “Bomba,” was ultimately removed from the United States in the year 2016. In 2017, authorities in Nashville, Tennessee, arrested him after discovering that he had cocaine, marijuana, scales, and an assault gun. In 2018, according to a statement issued by the Department of Justice (DOJ), he was removed from the country.
