4 Types of Accommodation to Make Your Holiday Special
SHARE

Going on holiday should be an enjoyable and relaxing experience, and there are plenty of ways to make it extra-special. From luxury camping to accessories such as hot tubs, when you are planning on taking a break, why not treat yourself to something a little extra. Holidays can be a brilliant way to rest and recharge, treat yourself and your loved ones or explore new experiences. There are many things to plan and consider, from the area in which you stay to the activities you will do. Here are four types of holiday accommodation that can give you some inspiration when planning your next trip!

  1. Caravans

Staying in a caravan can be a cost-effective way to get a change of scenery. They are usually situated in special parks, with all the facilities and amenities you could need. There are also options in which you can bring your dog, which is another huge bonus. Caravan holidays are really popular, and if you love them, you could even consider buying your own static caravan at a park or buying a touring caravan that you can tow with you on your journeys.

Another option is to hire or buy a motorhome. The main difference between a motorhome and a caravan is the caravan needs to be towed, whereas a motorhome can be used to live in and travel in. Motorhomes can also be cost-effective as you’re not splashing out on hotels or restaurants. Just remember to take out motorhome insurance to protect your belongings

  1. Glamping

A glamorous alternative to camping, glamping allows for the escape to nature with a few extra luxuries. Glamping allows you to stay in a variety of types of accommodation, from shepherd’s huts to yurts, letting you get a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air, minus the struggle with a tent and the muddy ground. There are specific sites dedicated to glamping, in the same way there are camping and caravan parks, with all the facilities and amenities you could need.

  1. Hot tub

While not technically an accommodation option, many types of holiday locations offer luxury facilities such as a hot tub. Adding this to your holiday can make hot tub breaks an exciting and relaxing holiday idea. You will be able to relax in a hot tub at the end of the day or enjoy it any time of day and in most types of weather. It is very common for hot tubs to be found with lodges, and a lodge with a hot tub can make for a great holiday accommodation option!

  1. Lodges

Staying in a lodge can be a wonderful alternative to apartments or caravans according to information from Hellotickets. They have more room than a mobile home and offer all the comforts of a villa or apartment. They are also a good self-catering option, which means that you can cook your own food on a schedule that works for you, and you don’t have to eat at restaurants for each meal. Doing so can also save you a lot of money and make your trip more cost-effective. Furthermore, many sites also offer dog-friendly lodges, in which you can holiday with your dog. This is a big selling point for many people, as it means that they can bring their dog with them and don’t have to worry about kennels or boarding.
